Jumia Uganda, the leading e-commerce platform in Uganda has launched its highly anticipated annual Black Friday sale.

This year’s sale will be running from Nov 8th to Nov 29th. It will offer customers daily discounts of up to 80% off on a wide range of products from beloved brands like Samsung and Hisense among others.

“This year we want to reward our customers with even bigger deals than last year. Consequently, we have signed up more sellers onto our platform and partnered with new brands. Ultimately, we want to provide Ugandan shoppers the widest selection of offers .”Jumia Uganda CEO Ron Kawamara noted.

Some of the deals buyers can expect from this year’s Black Friday sale include the exclusive launch of the brand new Redmi 8a at 463,500 UGX, the Nokia 1 Plus at 323,000 UGX that comes with a free Nokia 105 feature phone and the lowest priced 32” TV on the market from new brand MeWe at 439,000 UGX plus so many more.

According to Ron Kawamara, the Jumia Black Friday sale brought in a record 1.5 million visits to the Jumia website and over 6 billion shillings in revenue last year, and this year’s sale is expected to double these numbers.

“Our Black Friday sale doesn’t just benefit the consumers but it will also bring in more revenue for the sellers listed on our website, our logistics partners & the Ugandan economy overall.” added Mr Kawamara

Additionally, Jumia is running Treasure Hunt contests where enthusiastic shoppers stand a chance to win phones and TVs at 99% off.

Keeping in line with the Jumia promises, customers will enjoy nationwide delivery in Uganda & express delivery in Kampala.
