Juliana’s Kanyomozi’s album “Bits and Pieces” racing to dethrone Drake’s “Scorpion” on iTunes as it rises to number 2

Juliana Kanyomozi’s latest effort is proving to be a massive success and is coming after Drake’s top spot on iTunes.


“Bits and Pieces” has risen to number 2 on the music streaming site with the American rapper’s album “Scorpion that was released on June 28, sitting on the number 01 spotThe singer has said she is very much humbled by the success of the album.

Bits and Pieces which is the follow up to 2017’s “Still Here” was released on July 2, and is comprised of 10 tracks that the singer previously revealed are so personal to her.

Singer Shama drops new music video – Awo!

This year must have been the birth for new and fresh talents as the music industry keeps budding with new and exciting fresh stars.

News reaching our desk clearly indicates that among the newly born talents is a new kid on the block – Kiyimba Swaib alias Shama fully signed and managed by Florian management.

The 22 year old Ugandan super star just dropped his latest R n B music video titled ‘’Awo’’ that is greatly taking over Kampala airwaves and online music stores by storm.

Shama started his official music career two years ago though the Awo music video is his debut.

Nice piece Shama, sky will be the limit.

Investigative journalist Solomon Serwanjja wins at the BBC World News Komla Dumor Award

This award was established to honour Komla Dumor, an exceptional Ghanaian presenter and broadcaster for BBC World News, who died at 41 years in 2014.

Serwanjja has overtime combined his skills and passion to help shape the African narrative through the very many stories he has reported including “Stealing from the Sick”, on car-fuel theft, on the Kifeesi crew, among others.

With his exceptional talent and eye for African news, he has managed to tell stories through the eyes of Ugandans. His art of story-telling has highlighted a desire to have a positive impact on Uganda. Previous winners of the award include Waihiga Mwaura in 2018, Amina Yuguda in 2017, Didi Akinyelire in 2016 and Ugandan Nancy Kacingira in 2015.

Jose Chameleone cleans up Twitter, follows only two Ugandan artistes, your guess is as good as ours.

After being unfollowed by the President or rather his administrator, Jose Chameleone has not taken Twitter lightly. The singer has done some cleaning up and has been left with only 108 accounts to follow and only two of those are Ugandan artistes.

It is not rocket science that Chameleone only decides to follow his two brothers Pallaso and Radio&Weasel, had it been any others maybe we would be wondering the criteria he used.

Chameleone is one of the most followed Ugandan artistes on Twitter and not following you may not go so well with you as an artiste.
