As has been the norm for the last couple of years, Pastor Wilson Bugembe will host Ugandan celebrities at a church service that will take place at his church in Nansana this Sunday.
The lead Pastor of Light the World Church, a recording artist, founder of the Worship Night & one of the directors of Mercy Childcare, who always identifies with the secular celebrities, told our sources that this service will be the best anyone has ever seen. Juliana Kanyomozi, Radio and Weasel have been scheduled to perform.
Speaking to Sqoop, the singer turned pastor recounted how it all began. “They would all give glory to the Lord and confess they would not have come thus far if it had not been for His mercy and guidance. None of them ever claimed Satan helped them. Then I wondered why I could not bring them together and downplay the notion that celebrities only go church in a casket. So we started Celebrity Sunday but I did not know how it would go. I simply wanted us to meet and pray together. It took off well and since then, we have held it every two years. At first artistes were skeptical that they were going to be preached to and asked to get saved, but the Bible says He who fears God when the time comes will accept Jesus Christ. We meet and fellowship,” he said.
Juliana alongside Radio and Weasel will perform with a choir of 100 people at the church this Sunday. The theme is “Thank God for who you are”.
