Juliana Kanyomozi has expressed her joy after receiving recognition from fellow veteran and legendary singer Mariam Ndagire.

The acknowledgment came during a graduation ceremony at the Mariam Ndagire Film and Performing Arts Centre, where several industry veterans were honored for their contributions to the entertainment sector. Among those recognized were Dr. Bbosa, Ebonies director; Minister Balaam Barugahara; and Juliana Kanyomozi herself.
The honorees were awarded honorary certificates. Mariam Ndagire praised Juliana Kanyomozi, describing her as the embodiment of talent, passion, and resilience. Ndagire highlighted how Kanyomozi’s music has inspired thousands, warranting the recognition.
In response to the honor, Juliana expressed her excitement, noting that recognition from Mariam Ndagire, a figure she has long admired, means more than just a title. She commended Ndagire for acknowledging people’s contributions while they are still alive, urging others to follow this example and start rewarding outstanding individuals in the industry.

Juliana also provided an update on her career, clarifying that she has not retired from singing but has temporarily slowed down to pursue other interests.
Among these ventures is her YouTube podcast, where she interviews various singers. Kanyomozi shared that listening to people’s stories has always been a passion of hers. When asked about the possibility of taking a media job, she declined, citing the controlling nature of such roles.
