It’s a black year for local celebrities. The past few months have seen a significant number of celebrities pass on. And the weeping is not about to stop, it seems, as the year continues to claim more lives.
Gospel singer Judith Babirye is in weeping following the death of songwriter Jackie Kirunda who died in a car accident. Jackie, who was travelling with Pr. Zachariah Sserwadda and the pastor’s daughter on Saturday, was the unfortunate one after the car, a Prado they were travelling in was left completely disfigured following a nasty accident. Pr. Zachariah and the daughter are now nursing severe injuries in hospital.
Judith Babirye wept on social media where she posted; “The gospel music fraternity mourns the death of fellow worshiper and song writer, Jacky Kirunda who perished in a motor accident that left Pr. Zachariah unconscious and his youngest daughter badly injured. Dear Lord rest her soul in eternal peace. Dear Lord have mercy!!”
