Renowned Ugandan gospel singer and former politician Judith Babirye has revealed plans to hold a massive concert in Uganda after years of staying away from the spotlight.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session on Tuesday, Babirye shared her excitement about reconnecting with fans and hinted at staging a major performance once she returns home from Canada.
“Get ready, I’m coming back soon, and we are going to have a big concert,” Babirye told her followers during the live session, sparking excitement among her loyal supporters.
She also mentioned that she is already in contact with several Ugandan music promoters to organize the event.
Although she did not give a specific date, she assured fans that discussions are underway to ensure everything is set for her long-awaited return.
Judith Babirye last held a concert over 20 years ago at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
The event remains one of the most memorable in Uganda’s gospel music history due to its record-breaking attendance.
The singer, known for powerful gospel hits and her uplifting message, has spent recent years living abroad.
Her announcement has been met with excitement from fans and fellow artists alike, many of whom have welcomed the idea of her return to the music scene.
