It was an action packed one and half hours of pure talent and entertainment as Rated Next stars paid tribute to fallen Ugandan music legend Philly Bongole Lutaya. Unfortunately for one of the contestants his journey ended today.

Today’s show being penultimate, there was a new twist with revelers being treated to surprise performances by guest artistes. To grace the night, included former finalists from previous editions of the Rated Next competition.

As usual the contestants seemed to excite the crowd as well as impress the judges. At one point, judge Myko Ouma remarked, “I just have one problem with Charles, I couldn’t find the problem” to the delight of the crowd.

Nonetheless, someone had to go home tonight. Joshua, Winnie and Grace who had been on probation this week were all up for possible eviction tonight. Grace, the young darling still managed to work her way into the top contestants leaving Joshua and Winnie on the line.

Joshua who did a reggae version of Justin Timberlake’s ‘Mirrors’ as his favorite song failed to impress the judges thus losing their favour. He was subsequently sent home packing as the judges decided to save Winnie, completing the list of four contestants making it to the finale.

The grand finale will be held at Wonderworld auditorium, Kansanga next Sunday (25th, May) with a live screening on Urban TV.
