On Saturday, August 31, 2024, the Kampala Serena Hotel was the epicentre of Ugandan entertainment as Jose Chameleone marked 25 years in the music industry with his “Legend In Gold” concert.

The event, which was sold out well in advance, showcased the superstar in a performance that will be remembered as one of his best in recent times.

Chameleone dominated the stage for over an hour during the first session. He took fans on a nostalgic journey through his early 2000s hits, delivering performances of bangers like “Beyi Kali,” “Mambo Bado,” “Befula,” “Nekolera Maali,” “Dorotia,” “Mama Mia,” “Byansi Byakuleka,” and “Moto Moto.” Even his newer tracks, such as “Kigwa Leero,” were met with just as much enthusiasm, showing the enduring appeal of his music.

The second session saw Chameleone return with even more energy, performing more of his iconic hits, including “Vumilia,” “Valu Valu,” “Badilisha,” and “Basima Ogenze.”

A highlight of the night was when his brother Weasel joined him on stage, and the two delivered a crowd-pleasing performance of their hit “Bomboclat.”

The concert was not just a celebration of Chameleone’s music but also a gathering of generations. Musicians, government officials, socialites, and fans from all walks of life came together to honor the cultural significance of Chameleone’s career.

As the show wrapped up in the early hours of Sunday morning, it was clear that everyone in attendance left with unforgettable memories of Jose Chameleone’s silver jubilee.
