Joseph Mayanja aka Chameleone is a free man now after DPP lost interest in the Karamaji case where he was accused of murder after a one Robert Karamagi was reportedly burnt at the home of the singer in December 2012.
The case was early this year reopened after the father of the deceased, Maj. Benedict Kyamanywa petitioned the DPP to investigate circumstances under which the case was closed by the police and if possible resurrect it for justice to be served.
But days back, Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Justice Mike Chibit revealed there was no satisfactory evidence found to have the file sanctioned in courts of law thus rendering Joseph Mayanja a free man.
