In an exclusive interview, Victoria University guild president Keith Mugabi has spoken out on why he chose the Ruparelia Group funded university ahead of other post-secondary learning institutions. Among the reasons fronted, the 22-year-old Information Technology student said that the university has a conducive learning environment and programs.

“I joined Victoria University because it offered me what I wanted in a university. All the schools I went to offered me quality education. I believe Victoria University has the right facilities, environment and education that I wanted,” Mugabi, the second guild president at Victoria University, stated why he joined the Jinja road based learning center.

The university offers a wide range of Marketable courses tailored for the market, and also encourages innovation and creativity through research. It also offers a wide variety of courses and its qualifications are designed to meet the needs of the market place.

Victoria University offers world class facilities like the Ultra-modern Nursing and Health simulation skills lab, air conditioned lecture rooms, students lobby, sports facilities, gyms, swimming pools, Crane Bank Branch facility, VISA driven ATM machines, Western Union, MoneyGram facilities, Restaurants, parking and state of the art library.

It is these facilities that Mugabi says makes learning at Victoria University pleasurable. “As a beginning learning institution, it has its ups and downs but we are trying to build the gap together with administration,” Mugabi said, adding that he wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a friend to join him at Victoria University.
