Johnnie Walker Uganda has officially launched its 2024 Gifting Campaign—The Gift of Big Flavor, with a grand opening of a Gifting Studio at Village Mall in Bugolobi.

The Johnnie Walker gifting studio is designed to bring a personalised premium touch to the festive season. The Studio shall offer a unique space where customers can curate thoughtful and memorable gifts, from the Johnnie Walker catalogue, that celebrate both the art of gifting, and the spirit of personal connections.

The launch ceremony, held on Saturday, was attended by media personnel who experienced first-hand the brand’s dedication to elevating the gifting experience.

“This Gifting Studio is more than just a space, it’s a statement about the art of meaningful gifting and the power of personal connections, especially as we head into the festive season,” remarked Catherine Ndungu, the Marketing Director Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL).

“At Uganda Breweries Limited, we believe that a gift should be more than a gesture; it should create a lasting memory,” she added.

At the Gifting Studio, customers can personalise their purchases in several unique ways, such as adding engraved messages and selecting special blends suited to the recipient. This personalised touch transforms each bottle into a cherished keepsake, making it an ideal gift for loved ones and colleagues.

The launch also featured a special symbolic moment that saw Johnnie Walker Uganda recognize Mr Don Wanyama, the CEO Vision Group, with a bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold Aged 18, that had a personalized message encouraging him to ‘Keep Walking’.

Known for his bold leadership, courage, and excellence across the media space, Mr Wanyama was celebrated as a true trailblazer whose values align with those of the Johnnie Walker brand.

“His dedication, vision, and excellence reflect the very same values that Johnnie Walker stands for, making him the ideal recipient of our pinnacle of expression, the Johnnie Walker Gold Aged 18,” Ndungu noted.

Wanyama expressed gratitude to Johnnie Walker for recognizing him, and applauded the brand for offering thoughtful gifting solutions for the season.

“I’m humbled that Johnnie Walker chose me as the first person to gift this season. We have a very good working relationship with Uganda Breweries Ltd, and our recent analysis positioned them among the top organisations supporting the Ugandan economy. I am glad to be honored before fellow media practitioners, and I encourage everyone out there to pick a leaf and choose Johnnie Walker as the perfect gift to give to their loved ones this festive season,” Wanyama said.

As part of the larger Gift the Spirit of the Season campaign, the Johnnie Walker Gifting Studio celebrates the art of premium, personalised gifting alongside other iconic brands, including Tanqueray, Singleton, and Don Julio, each bringing its own unique flair to elevate the festive experience this season.

The Johnnie Walker Gifting Studio is open to the public at Village Mall, in Bugolobi till December 29th.
