Uganda’s renowned actor and movie director, John Segawa narrowly escaped death over the weekend after thugs forcefully raided his home. On Saturday morning, thieves armed with machetes and clubs raided his home and severely beat him up leaving near to his death and made away with his property .
“The merciless thugs broke into my house, tied me up, and hit me so badly leaving me unconscious in a pool of blood,” he made the shocking revelation on Social media.
When we caught up with him in the hospital, he gave thanks to all those who cared to rush him to hospital.
“I thank the Almighty God, for taking me through this ordeal, I cannot find the right words to tell you how grateful I am for your prayers, love and care,” Segawa said. “My family and I wish to express our immense gratitude for all you have done to enable me to get better one day at a time. But I don’t think any words could possibly be adequate to express my feelings of gratitude to all my friends and the Medics attending to me.”
It’s even noted that however much he had refused the doctors to cut off his dreads, he finally agreed as his head was badly hit and needed treatment. Wish you a quick recovery Mr. Segawa.
