John Katumba, famously known for his spirited 2021 presidential campaign slogan “Katumba Oyee,” has announced plans for a political comeback.

The youngest candidate in Uganda’s 2021 elections, Katumba says he is more determined than ever to pursue his vision for the country.

Reflecting on his first attempt at the presidency, Katumba acknowledges that it was a challenging experience. However, he asserts that his previous run was a learning opportunity and has better prepared him for future contests.

“I didn’t come into politics to start wars with other people,” he said, emphasizing that his goal is to advocate for improved policies for the betterment of the nation.

According to Katumba, his return to the political arena is driven by his commitment to fight for Uganda’s future, not personal vendettas.
