Renowned world music artiste Joel Sebunjo will carry the Ugandan flag at the “Sauti Za Busara” festival in Zanzibar tomorrow. The artiste is a favourite among live music acts and has shared stage with several heroic figures in the world music hall of fame.
The festival in its eleventh edition upholds the celebration of cultural diversity and attracts globally reknowed figures. Joel Sebunjo carries the Ugandan flag with a wealth of experience after representing Uganda in the earlier edition and Coke Studio Africa.
Joel Sebunjo is one of Uganda’s most recognised young folk /world music artistes. Over the years, he has crossed international borders sharing and presenting his sounds to nations. Today he is called “Uganda’s Youssou N’dour”
Biography:
Joel Sebunjo is one of Uganda’s best world music exports. Celebrated all over East Africa for his talents, he has traveled globally and performed alongside legendary artistes like Yossou N’dour, Salif Keita, Miriam Makeba, Oliver Mtukudzi and many more.
Together with SUNDIATA, his support cast, they represent a new generation of African musicians, with a pan-african approach to music. Joel Sebunjo & SUNDIATA is a ganda- Mandingue collaboration.
