BBS Terefayina CEO, Joe Kigozi is leaving the TV station.
He recently handed in his resignation from the position of CEO with effect from 15th of October 2017 after serving in that capacity for two years.
Sources close to Kigozi have revealed that he refused to renew his contract because he had accomplished his mission. “He was recruited to create a vibrant and top television in less than two years,” our source revealed. “He decided not to renew his contract because this has been done.”
This was further postulated in his resignation letter where he noted, “It has been a memorable two years of creating a formidable TV brand. BBS Terafayina is ranked among the top five television brands in the country. I have left it as a stable, attractive and fastest growing television brand in Uganda.”
Joe Kigozi is set to return to NBS TV where he previously served as Chief Marketing manager before he took over the helm at BBS Terafayina. He will rejoin NBS TV as Head of Strategy. In his new role, he will help NBS TV extend its footprint across East Africa.
