Ivan Byekwaso aka Mr. Uganda yesterday left the country to head to United States of America where he will be competing in the International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA) Natural Universe, in Austin, Texas September 5-6.

“I’m no longer only a medal prospect but I want to win the overall crown because I have prepared for a year for this event. I have worked and prayed very hard and I’m going to come back with a gold medal, Ugandans should just continue praying for me,” Byekwaso told the New Vision.

Byekwaso has already won a silver medal at the World Championships in Slovakia back in June, 2014 before bringing home a bronze medal at the INBA Natural Body Building Olympiad in San Diego in November last year.
“Ugandans are blessed with talents, we should all rally behind this man and wish him well because he is going to represent the country at the world stage thereby creating awareness about the country so we should all pray for him,” Jackson Pemba, Byekwaso’s sponsor of Pemba Sports Africa said.
