Bebe Cool has set his sights on breaking into the international music scene, declaring that it’s not too late for him to go global.

Speaking after the release of his new album Break The Chains, the outspoken artist revealed that he’s intentionally shifting his sound and image to align with the current generation of global music consumers.
“I also want to go global like other artists. It doesn’t matter if I don’t make it but that’s my target,” Bebe Cool stated, drawing comparisons with African music heavyweights like Davido and Burna Boy.
Known for his long-standing dominance in Uganda’s music scene, Bebe Cool now seems determined to redefine his artistry to match the pace of an ever-evolving industry.

“We are in a time of young people. I’m doing what I have to do, not what I should do,” he explained.
He emphasized the importance of understanding and catering to one’s audience, noting that his new sound on Break The Chains is intentionally different from what fans may have been used to in the past.
“It’s important to identify your target market and then serve them what they will take,” he added.
In addition to evolving his sound, Bebe Cool says he’s also making changes to his personal branding—emphasizing the need to reflect the look and lifestyle of today’s youth.
“You have to look like them, dress like them, have physique like them,” he said.
