It was all about giving back at the Itel Mobile 10th anniversary celebrations that were held at Protea Hotel in Kampala on Saturday. Guests who mostly included mobile phone retailers across the country walked away with different goodies from fridges, to water dispensers to mobile devices among others following a raffle draw.
Speaking at the anniversary celebrations, Alex Liu, the Itel Mobile Uganda country manager, revealed that the brand has maintained a steady growth over the 10 years of operations in Africa.
“Ten years ago, Itel mobile launched in Africa inspired by a mission to empower everyone with seamless mobile communication through reliable mobile devices. We have manged to achieve one decade of change and steady growth.” He said.
“Itel is now present in over 45 countries. We make 1.2 million smartphone sales volume per month and have 200K retail shops.” He added.
During the ceremony, Itel Mobile also launched its latest flagship phone, Itel s32, which is their first 4G enabled smartphone on the Ugandan market.
