Renowned social media analyst, Isma Lubega a.k.a Isma Olaxess has been elected President for the Uganda Bloggers Association.
This follows a landslide victory of 83% of the votes in the race for President of Ugandan Bloggers against his counterparts; Wisdom Kaye and Ashburg Katto.
“Am the new president for bloggers in Uganda and its neighbors. Also presidents have immunity, maybe when you break the security. Am also not well-versed with some things in my new office, am also a humble citizen,” Isma Olaxess said after being announced the winner in the elections.
When asked as to why he had earlier sworn in himself prior to the elections, Isma said that this was a stunt to motivate his supporters.
“I did that to keep my supporters strong. I had also predicted my victory earlier,” Isma added.
Isma promised to commence with retrieving all bloggers’ social media accounts and pages that were suspended.
“I will start with recovering our social media pages that were illegally pulled down.” He concluded.
Participation in the elections was strictly for only bloggers (national and diaspora) and votes were cast both physically and online.
