Jazz maestro Isaiah Katumwa is having a somber morning. Uganda’s celebrated saxophonist is in mourning following the death of his mother who has reportedly passed on this morning.
Isaiah broke the sad news on social media:
“I am really SAD to say that my dearest MOM whom I love dearly PASSED AWAY this morning. I am grateful though that she brought us up with so much love and was a good example of Christlikeness. Because of this it is a joy to have the assurance that she is definitely in a better place! Love you Mom!”
Several of his fans, friends and family have since shared a barrage of condolence messages.
A one Kimani JM wrote: “At this time of grief, my family passes our condolences to your bereaved family. Life begins with the Almighty God and ends at his call.”
