Isaac Rucci, who is in charge of publicity for the Billy Ocean show, has come out to defend the seemingly high ticket prices for the concert following a public outcry. The show ticket prices are set at Ugx 300,000 per head. However, Isaac Rucci has defended the ticket fares saying:
Billy Oceans is Playing in Warrington – UK 29th May 2015, tickets cost 25 pounds which is about 110K ugx.
So, someone sent this and wondered why we selling ours 300K ugx.
Billy Ocean’s team of 16 all live in the UK so…that promoters need is-a tour bus for less than a 1000 pounds to take them back n forth.
We in Uganda need to fly that team of 16, 2 Business class and 14 economy tickets ,costing about $XX,XXX.
Put them up in a 5 star hotel that costs mob $$$$!.
We play a much smaller venue than the venue in Warrington.
It’s over 3000,the one in Uganda is about 1,000 people.
You factor in all those dynamics and you will agree with me on the 300K price!
