Singer Iryn Namubiru and his manager who is also his brother Mubiru Thaddeus allegedly conned a Ugandan promoter based in Denmark and might face jail time.
The Denmark promoter who has been identified as Mutyaba, the owner of UDA-V promotion company has already threatened and opened a file with Uganda police against Thaddeus Mubiru and Iryn Namubiru over failure to refund 1000 USD that they received from him as deposit to fly singing diva Iryn Namubiru to Copenhagen for a show early next month.
According to sources, Iryn Namubiru will not be able to make it on 04th October for the show in Copenhegen for undisclosed reasons. This angered the promoter who ordered her to return the deposit of 1000 USD out of the 2500 USD that they were supposed to receive upon completion of the job. However, Thaddeus and Iryn have refused to attend to his requests and this has forced Mutyaba to seek redress through police.
