On the Friday of 4th October, as people were ushering in a festive weekend, Iryn Namubiru proved a force to be reckoned with in the music industry of Uganda. She put up an amazing and a thrilling performance at African Hotel Kampala.
Revellers left Hotel African confessing and yearning for more after a full 3 hour delightful moment. The show that started at 9pm, with the VIP section full to the brim, lined up a number of artistes alongside the tebiba bingi star, who also were impressive.
Among the artistes who graced the concert was Amelia singer – Dr. Hilderman, Kukaliiba songstress – Rema, Ugandan Khalifa and Big Eye.
Curvy Iryn clad in a very tight long dress with high heels sang all the songs from all her albums ranging from Nkuweeki to her latest Tebiba bingi. She even went on to mime gospel songs of the famous Makoma group, as she confessed it was her inspiration.
For the show that ended by mid night, as she claimed that hotel regulations dont allow shows past 12:30am, every attendant can truthfully reveal that the lady who was recently accused of drug trafficking pulled off an amazing performance.
