In a candid statement, Ugandan singer Irene Ntale has addressed her past friendship with fellow artist Vinka, emphasizing the importance of letting go and moving on.
Ntale’s remarks follow recent comments from Vinka, who previously served as her personal manager at Swangz Avenue Record Label, expressing dissatisfaction with their collaboration on the “Stylo” music project.
Ntale, who parted ways with Swangz Avenue in 2017 amidst disagreements, was subsequently replaced by Vinka.
Reflecting on their friendship, Ntale advised against bitterness and public airing of grievances, stating, “Someone should understand that if a friendship doesn’t work out, it’s not the end of the world. Let it go, don’t be bitter about it. You shouldn’t go around talking about it everywhere.“
The statement underscores a period of tension between the two artists during their time at the Industrial-area-based record label.
Vinka, in her role as Ntale’s manager, voiced concerns about the dynamics of their professional relationship, particularly during their collaboration on “Stylo.”
Ntale’s perspective offers a mature reflection on personal and professional relationships in the music industry, encouraging a positive approach to handling disagreements and moving forward.
