Musician Irene Ntale has joined a campaign to encourage the youth to vote in the coming general elections. This is after the “Eno ye sawa” singer was named the ambassador of an initiative that is being championed by a non-profit organisation, Twaweza, to encourage youth to vote.
Ntale, who is believed to have pocketed millions of shillings in her new ambassadorial role, could not hide joy at the new deal.
She said, “glad to be selected as one of the Ambassadors for the new Twaweza Initiative to encourage all youths in the country to Vote!”
Uganda will go to the polls this February to elect a new president among other leadership positions.
