Today, comedian Salvado who has rallied several comedians from across the continent will be holding his third edition of Africa Laughs show. On the same day, Irene Ntale will also be holding her Sembera concert.
Speaking about why she set her concert on the same day as Salvado’s Africa Laughs, Irene Ntale had this to say; “According to me it is not a problem because his is a comedy show and mine is a musical one. I don’t see any problem.”
When asked why in a similar situation last year, she decided to pull out, Irene revealed that the shows were all musical and the competition was bigger than him. “Last year’s show was a musical one and people don’t see Konshens and Busy Signal every day. People see me every day but they don’t see them every day. So I had to pull out but this time I couldn’t pull out,” Irene said.
