Le Beaujolais, a night club located above the gym and adjacent to the swimming pool in Centenary Park has been bought by a boss at the Independent Magazine newspaper owned by old man of the clan Andrew Mwenda.
The club which has been in existence for a few years went to the dogs when the former owners had disagreements. It has since struggled to get back on its feet, the only thing the former owners agreed on finally was to sell it off. General Manager at the Independent Magazine Godrick who is well connected among corporates then decided to buy off the club and elevate it to a better club in the city.
He has closed the bar and is now working on refurbishing it so that it can rejoin the now competitive business at the end of this month. Kampala has quite a number of clubs including Silk, Amnesia, Venom and the most recent addition being Club Ambience.
