“I’m going to play every saxophone that night” Afrigo’s Matovu promises a night to remember at Afrigo’s 40th anniversary

Today Saturday 21st November will see Uganda’s oldest band “Afrigo” celebrating its 40th anniversary of great music at Hotel Africana

Afrigo Band which was initiated in 1975 by a group of 8 youths notable among them is Matovu who is also still a member in the band upto date, the group has lived to the expectations of its founders producing classic music which can’t leave you sitted

Speaking to media, Matovu promised a night to remember as he will be playing every saxophone from the 90’s, He said;

This event is for everyone, not for a particular generation, we have performed for almost every generation and that is why we ask everyone to come celebrate this milestone with us on Saturday (tomorrow), I’m going to play every saxophone that night from the 90’s,”
