icondomTop apps around the globe this month offer quick fitness training, promote better sleep with ambient sounds, and locate the nearest shop for purchasing a condom.  While countries like Canada and Japan are searching for apps that help people sleep better improving one’s wellness, in the UK, iCondom is topping their list.

iCondom is an app that helps to locate the closest condom store or vendor.  No more excuses about not having a condom and having unprotected sex.  Together with MTV Staying Alive initiative, iCondom hopes to build the “world’s largest condom distribution map for iPhone, the first user-generated map of its kind.”

Staying Alive is an MTV international initiative to encourage HIV prevention, promote safer lifestyle choices and fight the stigma and discrimination which fuels the HIV epidemic.  Kenyans will remember the widely successful Shuga drama series, which was also a Staying Alive initiative.  Perhaps, iCondom should be brought to Kenya as well?!

You can download iCondom here.
