Former Cranes star and captain, Ibrahim Sekagya could be on his way back to join the National team ahead of Uganda’s clash with the ‘Black Stars’ of Ghana this Saturday on the 15th November 2014.
This being “a make or break” tie for the Cranes, reports suggest that the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has requested the New York Red bull star to join the rest of the team in camp and is likely to be jetting in the country any time now.
It should also be noted that the former Cranes star who retired from the national team football in 2011 was named among the six players that were called upon for international duty according to his club’s official website.
The six players included; Tim Cahill of Australia, Sanitago Castano and Matt Milazga both from USMNT, Roy Miller of Costa Rica, Ambroise Oyongo from Cameroon and Uganda’s one and only Ibrahim Sekagya.
Sekagya officially retired from his international career in 2011 after Uganda failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations following a goalless draw with Kenya at Namboole Stadium.
