Rapper Gravity Omutujju has come out to explain why, unlike his counterparts, he is not performing at any political rallies.
Appearing on local TV station, NTV, the rapper claimed to be neutral and therefore can not associate with any candidate in the on-going campaigns.
“Those performing at rallies can go ahead and earn that money but not me. I am neutral and wouldn’t want to associate with any candidate,” he said when asked about not performing on any campaign trail.
Asked about what inspired him to come up with the “Omwoto” song last year, the rapper asserted that the song was not involved with opposition and was simply representing the general views of Ugandans.
“That’s what the people are going through, I was just representing those views,” Gravity said.
We will keep you posted.
