Abdallah Karim Kasule will always be remembered in the history of Ugandan football and particularly in 41st edition of the Uganda Cup final having punished KCCA in that replay about a fortnight ago.
Besides having led to Hakim Ssekumba’s red card in the first final play in Ntungamo, Kasule went ahead to put KCCA to the sword in the 68th minute during the Uganda Cup final replay at Namboole on Tuesday 9th June, 2015 which Villa won by 3-0 to be crowned champions.
The 19-year-old however has much to do to prove to his father (Mohamed Kalule) that he can play football and keep scoring good grades in School. Kasule is Civil Engineering student at Kyambogo University.
“I work so hard day and night to prove to my dad that I can play football and at the same time get good results in school,” Kasule told Daily Monitor.
Despite his father’s strictness, his mother has given him a go ahead for a career in football and if all goes as planned, Kasule will step on the big stage when Villa represent Uganda in next year’s CAF Confederations cup.
“My mother (Rosemary Nakyazze) has also urged me to do sports and books if I can balance them but my father just wants me to focus on books,” he added.
