Singer Ibrahim Mayanja alias Star Boss Big Eye has opened up about his love for the late South African legendary singer Lucky Dube.
The singer, through a Facebook post, revealed that Lucky Dube has always been his inspiration and he always cried whenever he watched Lucky Dube’s videos because he was so energetic and he was so organized. He posted:
“He was the first musician I got to know in the whole world that we have musicians, when I was young I used to think he is a Ugandan musician because his videos were the most played on UTV which is now UBC. I loved his performance, his music and the way he used to be organised on stage where by I even shade tears whenever I see his videos.
Sad enough he died before I met him and even when Lucky Dube used to come to Uganda for concerts, I never had capability to enter stadiums and watch him because I didn’t have money and I was also under age.
But, But, But, for all that much love and respect that I have for him, It forced me to go to south Africa and reached his GRAVE to see were LUCKY DUBE was burried.
Lucky Dube you inspired me and you still inspire me.’LUCKY DUBE IS MY HERO’ may his soul Rest in Peace.”
