“You want to know how close we were? I held his penis every night to fit a catheter because he was incontinent at night,” Michael Jackson’s controversial doctor, Conrad Murray told the Mail on Sunday.
“He wore dark trousers all the time because after he went to the toilet he would drip for hours.”
Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011 for the death of the prince of pop, was released from prison three weeks ago.
Since then, he has wasted no time making bizarre revelations about his former patient, whom he is said to have given a lethal dose of the sedative propofol.
As well as telling the Mail that “Michael told me he never slept with Debbie Rowe”, he said that he and Jackson “loved each other as brothers”.
The 60-year-old said, “one of the happiest days of my life” was when “this man who had been so lonely, who had spent so many long nights telling me about his pain and anguish, finally felt he could trust someone in his life apart from his children.”
He insisted he “never gave Michael anything that would kill him. I loved him. I still do. I always will”.
It was a sentiment he reiterated to Liz Hayes in an exclusive interview with Australia’s 60 Minutes on Sunday night.
“I love Michael. I love Michael Jackson, I love him,” he said. “I was his closest friend.
“You see, I was Michael’s doctor, but I spent more time with him as a friend than taking care of him medically.
“I love Michael, I will mourn his loss forever. I am so sad that he’s not here.”

The doctor, who was paid $150,000 a month to tend to Jackson, was less emphatic on other important points.
When asked by Hayes, whether he thought Jackson was a paedophile, Murray gave a theatrical pause before responding: “I’m not prepared to answer that question, not now. And I tell you the reason why – because my interview with you is candid and honest, and I will not make up or fabricate anything.”
Hayes pushed the point, accusing Murray of muddying the waters with his evasive answer.
“I’ll never be unfair to Michael and I’m not here to destroy Michael,” Murray replied. “You asked a question and I’m not prepared to answer – not now.”
Of the night Jackson died in 2009, Murray maintains his innocence, saying he had been helping to wean the star off the strong sedatives that killed him.
But, on that fateful night, he says the star was unable to sleep and was stressed about a mounting debt.
“He said to me, ‘If I don’t go to rehearsal I’m going to lose everything’,” Murray said of Jackson, who was preparing to go on tour again. “I was already informed that Michael Jackson was over $40 million in the hole and climbing.
“When I saw how desperate he was and I knew how much of a destitute he was, what he was facing if he did not do this, it all again, fell on my heart.”
In his interview with the Mail, he elaborated, saying he relented and gave Jackson a “minuscule” amount of the drug before leaving the room.
He claims that he didn’t give Jackson the amount he wanted and “I believe he woke up, got hold of his own stash of propofol and injected himself. He did it too quickly and went into cardiac arrest.
“When I came back in the room I knew instantly he wasn’t breathing. I didn’t panic. I felt and tried to get a pulse. I tried the groin and the carotid artery. There was no pulse. I immediately started CPR. I’ve resuscitated thousands of people. This was my friend but I went into medical mode.”
The 50-year-old was pronounced dead at 2.26pm on June 25.
“I did not kill Michael Jackson. He was a drug addict,” Murray claims.
“Michael Jackson accidentally killed Michael Jackson.”
