Last week a Tanzanian tabloid claimed that recovering drug addict and singer Ray C was back to her old habits. They even claimed that they knew where she was getting her drugs.

Ray C has now accused the publication and the journalist of soiling her image to sell the paper.

The singer said that if the story was indeed true, the publication should have posted an image of her using or purchasing drugs instead of lifting a selfie from her Instagram page.

“I really hate it when I see a fellow human being trying to ruin my reputation for monetary gain. Do you know how much you hurt me with such news If indeed you knew what you were talking about, then where are the photos to prove it” read part of her post.

Ray C who now runs an anti-drugs campaign was admitted to a rehab facility in 2012 after confessing to being introduced to illegal drugs by her then boyfriend. She even revealed selling her house and property to raise money for drugs.
