Musician Bobi Wine has come out to explain why he has been silent about Ugandan politics ahead of the 2016 general elections. Known for his social conscious music, the “Time Bomb” singer says he has been silent because he fears for his life.
He posted:
“Yes I am silent on Politics coz it’s the safest way to live today but am very much aware that ONE DAY as the rulers will be accounting for what they did, some of us will be apologizing for what we never did. I am sure that in the end, people will remember not only the words of their oppressors, but the silence of their friends too. Silence is Gold but speaking out is Diamond”
