Musician Bebe Cool has hit at critics who have been saying that he is supporting President Museveni at all his rallies just to make an extra buck and finish his house.
Speaking to a local tabloid, Bebe Cool rubbished the claims saying that his is a personal commitment to make Uganda a better place and has nothing to do with money.
“It is not the money, it is the personal commitment to make my nation better and ensure my candidate enjoys a landslide victory. Do you want to say I was paid to choose President Museveni over my father? I have a role to play and I feel safer playing it with Mzee,” he said.
Bebe Cool also hesitantly admitted that he is making off quit a sum from the presidential rallies. “You call it payment, I call it facilitation that helps me serve my party. You know Bebe Cool is very expensive to have for this long; so just know I am doing it for the love of NRM,” he added.
Bebe Cool has been with the President on the campaign trail since late last year. He was recently sighted in a money rift where several Kadongo Kamu artistes said that he swindled their money that the President donated to their SACCO. Bebe Cool simply ignored them.
