Former Presidential press secretary Tamale Mirundi has lashed out at Ugandan artistes who are calling him over campaign songs they composed for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who is seeking another term in office.
“Artists stop calling me over campaign songs. Am not a member of the secretariat therefore am not responsible for attending to any mobilization activities as far as campaigns are concerned. Go to the NRM secretariat,” Mirundi asserted while appearing on his weekly talk show on 87.5 Star fm on Tuesday.
The outspoken Mirundi also advised the money-seeking artistes to go and sing those songs to their mothers.
“All I know is that an artist composes a song and launches it. So if you think you have good songs, go sing them to your mothers but don’t waste time calling mbu you have campaign song,” Mirundi added.
