Diamond Platnumz is currently in Kenya where he held a concert in Kisumu on Saturday, February 13 and another at Lodwar on Sunday, February 14.
His father on the other hand had camped at the heavy hitter’s Dar es Salaam music studio on Wednesday, February 10th hoping to at least have a glimpse of his son and settle their differences.
Abdul Juma walked to Diamond’s studio in the wee hours of the morning – despite his ailing feet – and consistently knocked one gate and the other keeping the faith he would see his son. Unfortunately, that did not come to pass as Diamond was out of the country.
“A lot took place in the past. I think it is now time for Diamond and I to settle our differences. I was recently told about his studio that is located in this area (Sinza Mapambano, Dar es Salaam). I saw it wise to stay here (studio) the whole day believing he would at least show up. Although my legs are hurting, I do not see the need to leave the place. I am ready to die here so long as I see my son,” Mr Juma told Risasi.
“I have realised Diamond is not on the wrong – I am the one who slipped. I already made peace with his mum. I thereafter saw it wise to look for Diamond and ask for his forgiveness,” added the old man.
Luck was not on his side as dusk fell without the gates being opened. Juma later lost hope and went his way.
