I am more influential than Apostle Paul – Kanye West

Kanye West

Kanye West had a backstage meltdown at SNL over the weekend, according to New York Post‘s Page Six, and almost walked away from his scheduled performance. And now Page Six got its hands on what it calls a surreptitiously recording of the meltdown. It’s textbook Kanye: He disparages Taylor Swift—seriously, bud, get over it—while declaring himself “50%” more influential than Pablo Picasso, Stanley Kubrick, Pablo Escobar and Paul the Apostle. Now that’s some A+ megalomania (also, weirdly specific—50%?).

For context, here’s what those men accomplished, briefly:

Picasso: Cubist. Maybe the world’s most famous artist.

Kubrick: Director. Definitely one of the most influential filmmakers.

Escobar: Drug lord. Probably the world’s most successful coke dealer.

Paul: Apostle. Basically responsible for Christianity as we know it.
