Popular Nigerian actress Rita Dominic, is happy to remain single and not be pressured into getting married, until she finds a man she is sure will make her happy, her real true love.

She let us in on this bit of her life during a Television interview in which she criticizes the pressure often placed on women in the African society, in particular, Nigeria, asking them to get married within a specific time frame, which system she refuses to subscribe to.

“I will marry the man of my dreams and not the man society dreams for me.

“Society feels that there is something wrong with you if you’re a certain age and you’re not married.

“What if it’s the society that something is wrong with for thinking that way, for forcing someone to do what they don’t want to do or forcing them to do what they want to do but in their (society’s) own time?” she said

Rita Dominic has previously been in a relationship, where she almost married the person, but it didn’t work out .She is glad it did not happen, because she saw the red flags and stopped it.

“I almost married someone. We were there. We were at that point. It didn’t work out and I’m happy it didn’t work out because I saw the signs.’’
