Musician Dr. Jose Chameleone has revealed that he almost gave up on music because no one wanted to listen to him.

The singer who was speaking to Capital FM Kenya in an interview said that lack of encouragement almost made him leave music because no one wanted to give him a chance.

“I tried many times to showcase my talents in Uganda, my home country – but no one, not even the existing artistes wanted to give me a chance,” he said in the interview with Chao Tolle.

He then noted that if he had given up on his dreams, he would not be the star that he is today, or even travel the world to entertain his great fans.

“If I had given-up – I wouldn’t be here,” he said before encouraging upcoming artistes to soldier on.

“Upcoming artists should keep trying. Talent will always have a way,” Chameleone concluded.

We will keep you posted.
