Comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi has revealed that he almost cancelled his much anticipated one-man show this year.
Salvado made the revelation while announcing the second edition of his “Man From Ombokolo” show. According to the comedian, he almost cancelled the show due to lack of sponsors.
“I am almost gave up on the show because the sponsor I have been working with kept tossing me up and down,” he said. “I kept pushing dates and got tired. I got to a point of telling my team that holding the show would not be possible, so lets think of next year.”
However, his luck changed when a new brand, The Singleton picked interest in the show and came on board to support him as the title sponsor.
On why The Singleton came on board to support Salvado, Annette Nakiyaga, Head of Whisky Portfolio at Uganda Breweries explained that, “The most pleasurable whisky moments go beyond the liquid. The Singleton forms creative collectives with the most talented crafts people to forge unforgettable experiences and Salvado is one of the most talented people of our time.”
“Man from Ombokolo” season 2 will take place on Friday, October 27 at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala. Tickets will be going for 100K.
