Singer and Songwriter Nince Henry has opened up on how he ventured into song writing. The “Mpola Mpola” singer has revealed he picked the passion for writing back in his secondary school days. Nince Henry says he started out as rapper but apparently God had a different plan for him.
He posted on social media: “In my s4 vac I embarked on a mission which bought me down this road. I wanted to be the best writer but I was a rapper which I know many people can’t believe.
I used to write what they call rhymes ie lyrics for hip hop. I wrote this song in s5 second term holiday and I thought it was the best kumbe God was laughing.
Yesterday I was going through my old stuff and landed on the lyrics of this song “CHEMICAL” hmm They say when we plan God laughs. I never knew I could write a good luganda song.”
Nince Henry has since grown to a prominent figure in Uganda’s music industry having written several hit songs for some of the top musicians in Uganda like Bebe Cool, Juliana Kanyomozi, Iryn Namubiru among others.
