Hon Fred Mukasa Mbidde an East African Member of Parliament, has opened a four star hotel in Masaka City, named after his daughter Elsie whose mother was the Late Bukomansimbi Woman MP Hon Susan Namaganda Mbidde Bbeeyi ya Birime. The hotel was launched on Saturday by the Cabinet Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs, Hon Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja who was accompanied by the State Minister of Finance in charge of Micro-Finance Hon Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo, at a function where all guests had to first take a Covid-19 test. The colourful function had many big wigs from Greater Masaka including senior politicians like Kyotera RDC Teopista Mbabazi Mugera and tycoons like the Big Pig Tycoon Byansi, Dr Kabugo, Tycoon Mulinde Henry among others. Hon Mbidde and his beautiful wife treated their guests to sumptuous meals, muchomo and expensive drinks. 
The highlight of the function was a Daddy – Daughter moment between Hon Minister Ssempijja and his daughter the Special Senior Presidential Advisor on Greater Masaka Affairs, Hon Nameere Justine. Minister Ssempijja served guests with interesting dance moves that sent everyone in cheers and ululations while saying “Minister okyalina work”! The party went crazier when Tycoon Byansi of Big Pig started an open bar and paid rooms for every guest to sleepover in order not to break curfew rules. However all the executive suites had already been paid off by Hon Mbidde’s rich friends from Kampala. In his Speech, the Guest of Honor, Hon Minister Ssempijja encouraged Bannamasaka and Ugandans at larger to welcome development and not to politicize matters of development. Elsie Hotel is located in Musisi gardens on Nalubaale Road and is already on google maps.
