Hon. Balaam Barugahara, the State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs has stirred debate with his remarks on Alien Skin, claiming the controversial artist has the potential to lead the National Unity Platform (NUP) and challenge Bobi Wine.
Balaam made the comments while addressing Alien Skin’s recent arrest. The singer was charged with assaulting medical staff at Nsambya Hospital and robbing an iPhone 15 Pro plus Shs480,000 and is currently remanded to Luzira Prison until November 28th.
Despite the charges, Balaam believes Alien Skin is a capable youth who simply needs proper guidance.

“Alien Skin is one of the youths that can contest for NUP president,” Balaam stated.
He called on the singer and his team to reflect on their behaviour, suggesting he is open to offering support to help them realign their path.
