Former KCCA star Herman Wasswa continued with his scoring form as he netted the winning goal on his debut for Kenyan Premier League side Sofapaka yesterday evening.
On Tuesday, Sofapaka entertained Chemelil Sugar but it took only 30 minutes for Herman Wasswa to pay back head Coach Sam Timbe for the trust he placed in him after seeding him into the starting line up at the expense of Ezekiel Odera.
According to fuuta.com, Wasswa nodded the ball in from a Wycliffe Opondo’s well taken corner, he actually had a chance to fancy a brace on his debut but the forward couldn’t force his shot downwards from a free kick outside the box.
The half-hour mark goal became the match winner, sending Sofapaka to 33 points and only seven behind summit leaders Gor Mahia who do have a game in hand.
Joseph owino was the other Ugandan that started the game while David Bagoole, Ndolo were on the bench.
