Dancehall singer Cindy Sanyu has distanced herself from the “Face of MUK” finale.
The “Ndi Mukodo” hitmaker has revealed that she will not perform at the event. She explained that she has never been approached by the organisers to perform at the event, adding that they have been using her name to hoodwink unsuspecting fans into turning up in big numbers.
She said: “I will not be performing at the Face of MUK finale at Freedom Square tonight. We at TeamCindyCate know nothing about that show. It is sad how promoters sometimes lie to the fans so they come in large numbers then later accuse the artiste for being disrespectful and arrogant and not showing up.”
Face of MUK is an annual event that aims at empowering female students at campus by discovering their talents, rewarding and as well promoting them.
The Face of MUK finale is happening this Friday, 20th January at Makerere Freedom Square.
