The local music industry was left in shock following the untimely death of musician Richie Kats, real name Richard Kato Pryan, on Wednesday. The singer is said to have been involved in a fatal accident, and now sources have revealed details pertaining to his death.
According to our sources, Richie Kats met his death near river Kafu after a Rav 4 he was traveling in with three other friends overturned several times. It is said that he was thrown out of the car by the impact of accident and his body crushed in the process resulting in his sudden death.
Sources have further revealed that he was heading to Masindi to handle a court case at the time of the grisly accident.
Richie will be buried at his ancestral home in Kikondo village, Jinja District today at 4pm following a vigil that took place at the deceased mother’s place in Mukono on Thursday.
