Following the untimely death of city tycoon and renowned music publisher/promoter, Mr Sebunya Bugembe more popularly known as Kasiwukira, several stakeholders in the music industry have been sending out their condolence messages and sharing their memories of the fallen tycoon.
Dr. Jose Chameleone, one of the longest serving musicians in the industry, could not hide his grief on learning of the sudden death of Kasiwukira as he revealed he will never forget the music promoter for his support.
“He was supportive, encouraging and parental,” Chameleone narrated. “He supported my music career by buying over six of my albums; Jamila, Mambo Bado, Beyi Kali, among others. He bought all these albums at Ugx30Million.”
The “Basiima Ogenze” hit maker who seemed like tears were welling up in his eyes revealed that Kasiwukira was very passionate about Ugandan music and the industry had lost a “father”.
“Sad to know about the death of a Friend, Father and inspiration, Mr Sebunya Bugembe (Kasiwukra),” Chameelone mourned. “I pass my heartfelt condolences to his Family and friends with whom we deeply grief in pain of such a loss. May The Lord have mercy on him.”
